Graveside services for Janice Perkins Goldman, 79, of Lufkin, will be held Monday, January 2, 2012 at 3:30 p.m. in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park with Bro. Chris Turner and Bro. Michael Brittain, her son-in-law, officiating. Special music will be by granddaughter, Ashly Hutson.
Mrs. Goldman was born April 19, 1932, in Lufkin, Texas; and she went to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, December 31, 2011.
Mrs. Goldman was a devoted and loving mother, wife, grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Goldman was a member of the former Redland United Methodist Church. She had attended Massey Business College for two years, and had lived in Lufkin all her life.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, William E. Goldman of Lufkin; daughters and son-in-laws, Glynna and Michael Nichols of Lufkin, Cyndi and Michael Brittain of Lufkin, Teresa and Spencer Carson of Round Rock; grandchildren; Ashly Hutson and husband Jeff of Lufkin, Brandi Harrison of Austin, Cody Nichols of Lufkin, Jarrett Harrison of Lufkin, Seth Carson of Round Rock and Kailey Grace Carson of Round Rock; and great grandchildren; Chase Hutson of Lufkin, Ruben Rivera of Austin and Blake Hutson of Lufkin; sisters-in-law, Opal Perkins of Nacogdoches and LaFaye Perkins of Lufkin; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Goldman was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Paula Goldman Harrison; parents; Ross S. and Azilee Perkins; twin sister Janette Perkins Biggs; sisters, Joyce Perkins St. John, Nona Perkins Reynolds; brothers; Joe R. Perkins, Dr. Glynn E. Perkins, Norman R. Perkins, Harold L. Perkins and Paul D. Perkins.
