Funeral services for Willie L. Limbrick, 81, of Lufkin, will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Faith Family Church with Pastor Vic Bass and Pastor Mardy Guidry officiating. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Westlake Cemetery in Jasper.
Mr. Limbrick was born February 21, 1930 in Jasper, Texas to the late Helen (Armstrong) and Luckie Limbrick. He died Saturday, December 31, 2011 at his residence.
Mr. Limbrick was a retired self-employed canteen operator. He was a founding member of Faith Family Church. Mr. Limbrick served his country in the U.S. Army. Formerly of Jasper, he had resided in Lufkin for the past 33 years.
Survivors include his wife of nine years, Leta Limbrick of Lufkin; his children and their spouses, Brenda Gray, Annie Hadnot, both of Jasper, Mona Smith of Diboll, Lynette and James Moye of Longview, Billie McGee of Fishkill, New York, Marcus and Patsy Limbrick of Brookeland, Willie H., Sr., and Anita Limbrick, Anthony and Renee Limbrick, Christy Turner, and Lucy and Dajuan Logan, all of Lufkin; stepdaughters and their husbands, Sandi and Roy Hilton of Lufkin, Faith and Curtis Massingill of Diboll, Kathleen and Scott Duffy of Reading, Vermont; god-sister, Emma Adams of Jasper; as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Preceding Mr. Limbrick in death were his parents, his first wife, Irene Limbrick, and son, James E. Alford.
Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Men's Prayer Ministry of Faith Family Church.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
