Funeral services for James D. Will, 69, of Lufkin, most recently of Pensacola Beach, Florida, will be held Thursday, January 5, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Elwyn M. Gipson Memorial Chapel in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Interment will follow the services.
Mr. Will was born May 22, 1942 in Bell County, Texas, and died Saturday, December 31, 2011 at his residence, surrounded by family.
Prior to his move to Florida in August for health reasons, Mr. Will was a member of Denman Avenue Baptist Church. He lived his life with dedication and hard work. Mr. Will began his career at the age of 18 in the jewelry business, and held several management positions across the south (Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, Florida, and North Carolina). He never wavered in his passion for selling diamonds until he retired from Zales Jewelers in Lufkin a few years ago.
Mr. will was a quiet and reserved man who really enjoyed yard work, helping others, playing dominos and watching football, especially the LSU Tigers and the New Orleans Saints. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his sons, Michael Will of Pensacola Beach, Florida and Lance Will of Tempe, Arizona; and grandchildren, Hollyn Will and Dalton Will.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday morning prior to the services at the Elwyn M. Gipson Memorial Chapel.
