Effie Ann Renfro Pixley

Funeral services for Effie Ann Renfro Pixley, 82, of Lufkin, will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Brother Richard Owen officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitehouse Cemetery.
Mrs. Pixley was born February 2, 1929 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Johnnie (Allen) and Albert Renfro. She died Saturday, January 28, 2012 in a Lufkin hospital.
Mrs. Pixley was a retired school bus driver for the Livingston I.S.D. She was also a homemaker and a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She attended Solid Rock Family Church. Mrs. Pixley had lived in Lufkin for the past seven years, and formerly resided in Livingston for 38 years.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Margie Ann and Bobby Jones of Huntington, Bryant Wayne and Margaret Pixley of Livingston, Tommy Carrell Pixley of Livingston, Darrell Lane and Patsy Pixley of Quitman, Ronnie Royce Pixley and fiancée Brandy Durbin of Lufkin, and Steven Glenn Pixley of Livingston; grandchildren, Charles D. Jones, Dianna Sowell, Robbie Kessler, Amber Espinoza, Alina Cavanagh, Anna Pipher, Rachel Hanson, Heather Martinez, Chris Pixley, Violet Pixley, Brittany Oliver, Holly Pixley, Zachary Pixley, Jamie Pixley, Jeremy Pixley, Amanda Pixley and Chelsey Pixley; seventeen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brothers and sisters-in-law, A.J. Renfro of Lufkin, Delbert Renfro of Huntington, Byford and Melba Renfro of Lufkin and Murrell and Kitty Renfro of Gilmer; sisters and brother-in-law, Lula Faye James of Lufkin, and Judy and Edward Rice of Lufkin; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Preceding Mrs. Pixley in death were her parents, Albert ""Buck"" and Johnnie Allen Renfro; her husband, Thomas Bryant Pixley; daughter-in-law, Therese Pixley; granddaughter, Katlynn Pixley; brother, Frank Renfro; and sisters, Jessie Whitehead, Lilly Emerson and Mildred Stanberry.
Pallbearers will be Chris Pixley, Zachary Pixley, Jamie Pixley, Jeremy Pixley, Elton James and Johnny James.
Honorary pallbearers will be Edward Rice, Charles D. Jones, Bobby Stanberry, Melba Renfro and Kitty Renfro.
