Funeral services for Manda Hightower Reynolds, 75, of Lufkin, will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Brother Kim Bartel officiating. Interment will follow in the Berry Cemetery.
Ms. Reynolds was born October 13, 1936 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Archie (Miller) and Flurier Hightower. She died Sunday, January 29, 2012 at her residence.
Ms. Reynolds was a retired bank officer for the Longview Bank and Trust, following 40 years of service. She was a member of the Angelina County Mounted Patrol, and she also enjoyed playing ""42."" Ms. Reynolds was of the Baptist faith. Ms. Reynolds had lived in Lufkin for the past 12 years, and previously resided in Longview for 40 years.
Survivors include her brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim Hightower of Lufkin, Delwin and Linda Hightower, Charles Hightower, all of Nacogdoches, Oscar and Fran Hightower of Lufkin, Windle and Donna Hightower of Huntington, Bobby and Monica Hightower of Lufkin; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Kenneth Pinner, Nell and Robert Walker, Carrie and Kenneth Clegg, and Mary Whitley, all of Lufkin; special friend, Stephanie Murphy of Eunice, New Mexico; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Preceding Ms. Reynolds in death were her parents and a brother, Robert Wayne ""BeeMan"" Hightower.
Pallbearers will be Keith Gaston, Jason Hightower, Craig Hightower, Curtis Hightower, Ken David Clegg, Ray Hightower and Steve Walker.
Honorary pallbearers will be her great nieces and great nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Berry Cemetery Association, 4770 FM 842, Lufkin, Texas 75901.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
