Jo Elizabeth Arriola

Mass of Christian Burial for Jo Elizabeth Arriola, 73, of Lufkin will be held Thursday, February 9, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in the Moral Community, located at 1422 CR 724 in Nacogdoches. Reverend Joseph Lourdusamy and Reverend Francis O'Dowd will officiate. Interment will follow in the Moral Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin.

Mrs. Arriola was born April 13, 1938 in Angelina County, Texas to the late Jeff and Nellie K. (Allen) Poe, and died Tuesday, February 7, 2012 in a local hospital. She was a lifetime resident of Lufkin. Mrs. Arriola retired from the Crystal Ice Co., where she served as Office Manager. She had also worked for B&B Tackle. Mrs. Arriola was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Joseph Arriola of Lufkin; daughters and son-in-law, Sherrie and Brett Fenley, Beverly Terry and Pam Tullos, all of Pollok; son and daughter-in-law, Jeffery and Suzanne Arriola of Pollok; grandchildren, E.J. Holt, Candice Matchett, Kimberly Terry, Jeromy Holt, Brooke Fenley, Blake Arriola, Krysten Arriola, Makenzie Arriola and Tommy Fenley; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Arriola was preceded in death by her brother, Johnny Poe; and sisters, Garvis Edwards and Carolyn Goldberg.

Pallbearers will be Mike McClain, Larry Arriola, Keith Weathers, Ron Robertson, Randy Baker, Ricky Luna, Vincent Luna, Kenny Modisette and Ronnie Modisette.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Moral Cemetery Association, 8671 State Highway 7, Nacogdoches, Texas 75964.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
