Kaleb Drew Rye

Funeral services for Kaleb Drew Rye, 27, of Huntington will be held Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 12:00 noon in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Pastor Andy Salagaj and Reverend Bob Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in the Huntington Cemetery.

Kaleb was born August 6, 1984 in Lufkin, Texas to Kay (Knight) and Larry Rye, and died Wednesday, February 8, 2012 in Lufkin, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Kaleb attended Hudson ISD through elementary and graduated from Huntington High School in 2002. He was employed at E-Tech. He loved his family and friends and loved listening to music. Kaleb wanted to be a chef and was a great cook. He had a vivacious personality and loved to make people laugh. He was a member of the Lufkin First Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include his father, Larry Rye of Lufkin; mother and stepfather, K. Kay and Linvell Price of Huntington; sister and brother-in-law, Ricca and Troy Keepers of Pflugerville and their children, Kylie and Brendan Keepers; stepsisters and brothers-in-law, Melanie and Wayne Hail of Tarkington and Kelly and Brian Wuthrich of Willis, and their children; stepbrother and sister-in-law, Philip and Kelli Price of Hudson, and their children; aunts, Marilyn E. Rye, Janice Smaistrla, both of Lufkin and Joyce and Jack Hollingsworth of Georgetown.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Evelyn Rye, John R. Knight and Jeri Lowry Knight; great-grandmother, Mable Lowry; uncle, Herb Knight; and great-aunt and great-uncle, Mozelle and Frank Card.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Beaver, Casey Salagaj, Seth Tergeau, Rabbai Jabour, Cory Pigg and Brandon White.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon Saturday morning at the funeral home.
