Elva Sue (White) Wallace

Funeral services for Elva Sue (White) Wallace, 78, of Lufkin will be held Friday, February 24, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Walter Futch officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitehouse Cemetery.

Mrs. Wallace was born January 6, 1934 in Diboll, Texas to the late Eddie Hobson and Vera Mae (Smith) White, and died Tuesday, February 21, 2012 in Rowlett, Texas.

Mrs. Wallace resided in Lufkin most of her life. She enjoyed sewing, reading, cooking and spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Wallace was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and the Jolly Seniors Sunday school class.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Randall Keith and Linda Sue Midkiff of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Robin Denise and Robert Paul Zangarine of Rowlett; grandchildren, Kirstyn Leigh Zangarine, Jordan Scott Zangarine, both of Rowlett, Carrie Midkiff Odom and Randall Keith Midkiff, Jr., both of Alabama; stepson and daughter-in-law, David and Kathy Wallace of Plano; stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Andrea and Kim Barr of Mesquite and Jennifer and Floyd Salamino of Rowlett; step-grandchildren, Alyssa Barr of Fort Worth, Tony Salamino and Quentin Salamino, both of Rowlett; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jean and Marlon Register of Lufkin and Betty and Jerry Kinsel of Baytown; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Katherine White of Madison, Mississippi and James and Sue White of Dayton; aunt, Ouida Lynn of Dayton; sisters-in-law, Bessie Wallace of Lufkin, Ann Wallace of Mesquite and Sandra Wallace of Spring; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lee Wallace; ex-husband, Herbert Lee Midkiff; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Leonard and Aloise Wallace, Gene Wallace, Sammy Wallace and Bill Wallace; and niece, Kelli White May.

Pallbearers will be Mike Allbritton, Jason White, Dennis Lenderman, Ronnie McMullen, Ronnie Collins and Mike Cunningham.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Jolly Seniors Sunday school class at Trinity Baptist Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Baptist Church building fund, 2909 East Lufkin Avenue, Lufkin, Texas 75901.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
