Kenneth John Allum, 78, of Livingston died Saturday, March 3, 2012 in a Lufkin hospital. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.
Mr. Allum was born May 7, 1933 in Choteau, Montana to the late Elmer and Ada (Byler) Allum. He served in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as Master Sergeant in the Bomb Disposal Special Forces Unit. Mr. Allum also retired from the U.S. Postal Service, where he served as Postmaster in Deer Park, Washington.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Joyce Allum of Livingston; daughters, Kenna Davies of Spokane, Washington and Peggy Baden of Houston; sons, Terry Allum of Livingston and Alan Allum of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; stepdaughter, Lisa Stout of Spring; stepson, Steven Michka of Livingston; 18 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Memorial services for Mr. Allum will be held at a later date in the Livingston VFW Post 8568, pending the return of his grandson, Eric Allum, currently serving in the U.S. Air Force in Afghanistan.
