King ""Rey"" Sebastian Compean, 15 months of age, of Diboll, was born November 15, 2010 in Lufkin Texas. He died Thursday, March 8, 2012 in Diboll from injuries sustained in an accident.
A mischievous angel fell from the sky for being too curious. He fell in our lap with slightly torn wings and decided to stay a while. He rolled, crawled, walked, ran, jumped, played, danced and made music, especially on the drums. He laughed, cried, kissed and hugged. He broke a lot of things and fell a lot of times. He showed us patience though he had little; he played with the box first, then the toy. He had a mean grip and a precise aim. But most of all, he loved us unconditionally and completely. He showed us that being a parent was the ultimate gift. He evoked a kind of love we never knew we had, the kind that echoes through the soul and resounds through the body, heart and mind for eternity. But you see, he heard a beautiful sound, his favorite sound, the sound of music, but this wasn't your ordinary music. It was the glorious sound of God's drums, guitars, keyboards, bongos, bass, tambourines and maracas. He knew God was calling him to come home. He asked God if he could take his ""Buelis"" and his ""Tita,"" who both loved to sing and dance. He knew they'd be perfect. Mami and Papi had helped him repair his wings; he was strong enough to take them both. So, he took them by the hand and led them back the way he came. Rey Sebastian, we love you very much, but you already know this.
