Linda Kendrick Stout

Graveside services for Linda Kendrick Stout, 63, of Lufkin, will be held Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Whitehouse Cemetery with Pastor Mardy Guidry and Rev. Roy Carroway, Sr., officiating.
Linda was born June 14, 1948 in Lufkin, Texas, and surrendered into the arms of her loving Savior on Friday, April 6, 2012 in a Lufkin hospice facility following a courageous battle with cancer. Linda was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She was the most gentle and kind person you would ever want to meet, and loved her family more than life itself.
Linda was born on June 14, 1948 in Lufkin, Texas, graduated from Hudson High School in 1966, and immediately started work at the Lufkin Telephone Exchange (now Consolidated Communications). She worked for 38 years, assuming various responsibilities such as an operator, long distance operator, plant clerk, and finally in the Information Systems Department until her retirement in 2004. Linda was a hard worker who had a generous spirit, never complaining about anything, no matter the situation. She was a member of Clawson Assembly of God.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Billy Lynn Stout of Lufkin; two daughters, Tawnya Stout Baker and husband Bryan of Lufkin, Angela Stout Hope and husband Richard of Lufkin; two sons, Randy Stout of Lufkin, Richard Stout of Groves; eight grandchildren, Kaylenn Baker, Kylee Baker, Breanna Hope, Mason Hope, Heather Penick, Blake Stout, all of Lufkin, Amberly Stout and Lacy Stout, both of Maldin, Missouri; great granddaughter, Allie Stout; parents, James C. and Callie Sue Kendrick of Lufkin; brothers, Alan Kendrick and wife Lisa, Greg Kendrick and wife Robbie, John Kendrick and wife Sabrina, all of Lufkin; sister, Carol Barrington and husband Brad of Lufkin; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Preceding Linda in death was one brother, James Carol Kendrick.
Honorary pallbearers are the Employees of Consolidated Communications, James Farrell, Allen Cates and Vernon Horton.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Linda's memory to Hospice in the Pines, 1504 West Frank Avenue, Lufkin, Texas 75904.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
