Funeral services for Reagan English, 74, of Lufkin, will be held Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Dr. Mark Livingston and Pastor Bryan Lipscomb officiating. Interment will follow in the Ivie Cemetery near Kennard.
Mr. English was born August 26, 1937 in Scott City, Kansas to the late Loye (Murdock) and Roscoe C. English. He died Tuesday, April 10, 2012 in a Lufkin hospital.
Mr. English was the owner of English Drilling. He was a graduate of Kennard High School, Class of 1954. Mr. English was a member of Keltys First Baptist Church where he also served as Chairman of the Deacons. Formerly of Kennard, he had resided in Lufkin for the past 55 years.
Survivors include his wife, Nelda English of Lufkin; son, Donald Reagon English of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Shanna English of Lufkin; grandchildren and spouses, Amanda and Grant Martin of Spring, Andrew and Elaine English of Pollok, and Luke English of Lufkin; great grandchildren, Emma Claire and Garrett, both of Pollok; ""Peanut,"" his beloved Jack Russell; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rex and Ann English of Kennard, David and Vicki English of Nederland; as well as a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Deacon of Keltys First Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
