Terry Bob Taylor

Funeral services for Terry Bob Taylor, 62, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pat Jones officiating. A private family burial will follow the services.

Mr. Taylor was born November 13, 1949 in Lufkin, Texas to Bob F. and Mary Lee (Terry) Taylor, and died Wednesday, May 9, 2012 in a Dallas hospital.

Mr. Taylor was a lifetime resident of Lufkin. He attended Lufkin public schools and graduated from Lufkin High School in 1968. He graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1972. Mr. Taylor began his career with Lufkin Industries during high school and college, and began his professional career with Lufkin Industries in 1972. His career expanded when he joined Drago Supply. He was currently employed by Motion Industries.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Vicky (Harding) Taylor of Lufkin; mother, Mary Lee (Terry) Taylor of Lufkin; brother, Jimmy Lee Taylor of Lufkin; nieces, Marilyn (Taylor) Johnson and husband Jim of Golden, Colorado and Lacey Taylor of Lufkin; great-nephew, Jackson Taylor Johnson of Golden, Colorado; mother-in-law, Burniece Harding of Huntsville; and sister-in-law, Jenny Harding of Houston.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bob F. Taylor.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
