Jules Pullen

Funeral services for Jules ""Buddy"" Pullen, 91, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Bob Harbuck and Gloria Havard officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Springs Cemetery in Corrigan.

Mr. Pullen was born February 12, 1921 in Corrigan, Texas to James Homer ""J.H."" and Zelma Nevada (Adams) Pullen, and died Wednesday, May 30, 2012 in a local assisted living facility.

Mr. Pullen had resided in Lufkin for 46 years. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, stationed in England for five years. Mr. Pullen owned and operated Pullen Machine and Tool Co. for 20 years. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, James Gary and Kannika Pullen of Texas and Gregory J. and Michelle Pullen of Lufkin; daughter, Catherine A. Pullen of Pennsylvania; son-in-law, Roger Schafer of Pennsylvania; grandchildren, James E. Pullen, Christopher Pullen of Texas, Travis James Pullen of Lufkin, Brian Allen Pullen of Etoile, April Tolly and Amber Hidrogo of Lufkin; great-grandchildren, Keaton Pullen, Kynzlee Pullen and Micha Hector of Lufkin; sister, Sylvia David of Lufkin; and three nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Frances (Hawkins) Pullen.

Honorary pallbearers will be Doug David, Danny David, Judd David, Brian Pullen and Travis Pullen.
