W.L. Miller

August 19, 1940 — June 1, 2012

Funeral services for W.L. Miller, 71, of Diboll, will be held Sunday, June 3, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Brother Leo Lytle officiating. Interment will follow at 4:00 p.m. in the Sacul Cemetery in Nacogdoches County.
Mr. Miller was born August 19, 1940 in Nacogdoches, Texas, to the late Mary Lovice (Leonard) and Walter Leonard Miller. He died Friday, June 1, 2012 in a Lufkin hospice facility.
Mr. Miller was the retired owner of Miller Furniture Store and had lived in Lufkin most of his life. He attended Pine Valley Congregational Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Judy Miller of Diboll; daughters and sons-in-law, Denise and Richard Currie, Vicki and Doug Thompson, all of Lufkin; grandchildren and their spouses, Brandon and Erin Currie of Lufkin, Russell and Celeste Thompson of Hallsville, Ashlyn and Levi Cole of Lufkin, and Jordyn Currie of Lufkin; great grandchildren; Dalton, Ethan and Grayson Currie, Abigail, Weldon and Brant Thompson; sisters, Mildred Tucker, Freddie Havard and husband H.G., all of Lufkin; brothers, James Miller and wife Dorris of Marshall, Larry Miller of Lufkin; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Preceding Mr. Miller in death were his parents; great granddaughter, Allison Currie; father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Gertrude Weaver; brother-in-law, Tommie Mikeal; one brother; and three sisters.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Currie, Russell Thompson, Levi Cole, David Mikeal, Dean Miller and Aaron Miller.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
