Funeral services for Sheila Allen McMullen, 57, of Lufkin will be held Sunday, June 10, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Karl Smith and Brother Keith Castleberry officiating. Entombment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mrs. McMullen was born September 14, 1954 in Lufkin, Texas to William Robert and Nelda Jean (Cook) Allen, and died Thursday, June 7, 2012.
Mrs. McMullen was a lifetime resident of Lufkin. She worked as a Registered Nurse in the Lufkin area for many years, most recently at the Charles Wilson V.A. Clinic. She was a member of the Junior League of Lufkin and Beta Sigma Phi at Angelina College. Mrs. McMullen was a member of Lufkin's First Baptist Church and attended the First United Pentecostal Church of Lufkin.

Survivors include her daughter, Meredith Janell McMullen of Houston; parents, Robert and Nelda Allen of Lufkin; sister and brother-in-law, Vennessa and John Childerss of Lufkin; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jack and Mary Jo Gorden of Lufkin and David and Gina McMullen of Boise, Idaho; nieces, Melissa Castleberry of College Station, Heather Strawn of Hillsboro, Lindsey Childerss of Lufkin and Brianna McMullen of Laramie, Wyoming; nephews, Jace Childerss of Lufkin, Jack Boyett ""Trey"" Gorden and wife Laura of West Lafayette, Indiana, Jacob McMullen and Zachary McMullen, both of Boise, Idaho; great-nieces, Molly McMullen of Boise, Idaho and Lacie Castleberry of College Station; and great-nephews, Ethan Castleberry and Wesley Strawn, both of College Station.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack O. ""Butch"" McMullen, Jr.; brother, Reverend R.L. ""Butch"" Allen; and nephew, Trenton Wood Gorden.

Pallbearers will be Robert Osborn, Jace Childerss, Tommy Swearingen, Max Dickinson, Steve Hicks and Bryan Hollers.
Honorary pallbearer will be Jeff Scott.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 212 Gene Samford Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75904.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
