Robert Earl Forsythe

Funeral services for Robert Earl Forsythe, 81, of Lufkin will be held Sunday, July 1, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Gene Hazell and Brother Raymond Forsythe officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitehouse Cemetery.
Mr. Forsythe was born July 4, 1930 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Reverend Willard and Roberta (Franklin) Forsythe, and died Wednesday, June 27, 2012 in a local hospital.
Mr. Forsythe was a lifetime resident of Lufkin. He was a Brick Mason for 65 years and was an excellent carpenter, mechanic and deer hunter. Mr. Forsythe was a member of the Pleasant Grove Congregational Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Rose Ella Forsythe of Lufkin; son, Wendell Forsythe of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Regina and Danny Bridges of Lufkin; grandchildren and spouses, Deidra and Wendell Turner, Trent and Mecka Crawford, Will Forsythe, Clay Forsythe, Wendelynn Rose and Bobby Warren, Daniel Bridges, Jr., Michelle and Calvin Smith, and Anne Marie and Justin Anderson; seven great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond and Dorothy Forsythe of Lufkin and Pete and Sylvia Forsythe of Huntington; former son-in-law, James M. Crawford of Huntington; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Forsythe was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth, Richard and Bill Forsythe.
Pallbearers will be Wendell Turner, Trent Crawford, Daniel Bridges, Jr., Keith Forsythe, Jake Manchaca and Dwayne Howell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gerald Forsythe, David Forsythe, Reagan Rowe, Gregory Rowe, Dwain Forsythe and Ernie Palmer.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
