Delphine M. Goforth, 78, of Huntington died Friday, July 6, 2012 at her residence. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Goforth was born December 7, 1933 in Malden, Missouri to the late Sam Berry and Dillie May (Fuwell) Dildine. Mrs. Goforth was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Goforth. A former resident of Piedmont, Missouri, she had resided in Huntington for 24 years. Mrs. Goforth was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Alamo, Texas.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, William and Sandra Black of Huntington; grandson and wife, Darren and Ashley Black of Lufkin; granddaughter and husband, Tracy and Mark Chamblee of Huntington; granddaughter, Linda Black of Huntington; great-granddaughters, Madison Summers, McKenzie Summers and Aubrey Black; and great-grandson, Colbey Chamblee.
