Harold Temple

Funeral services for Harold Acie Temple, 77, of Lufkin, will be held Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Chaplain Dwayne Thornton officiating. Interment will follow in the Sims (Rocky Hill) Cemetery.
Mr. Temple was born August 5, 1934 in Huntington, Texas to the late Leona (Walton) and Wesley R. Temple. He died Sunday, July 8, 2012 in a Lufkin nursing facility.
Mr. Temple was retired from the construction industry, and had lived in the Lufkin/Huntington area most of his life. He was a Baptist by faith.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Dale E. and Dorothy Pratt of Lufkin; daughters and sons-in-law, Kay and Gregg Hathorn of Channelview, Patty and Adrian Alfred of Lufkin; twenty-eight grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; brothers and sister-in-law, J.L. and Helen Temple of Lufkin, Paul Temple of Mansfield, Louisiana; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Preceding Mr. Temple in death were his parents; his wife, Valeria Temple; two sons, Lonnie Ashton, Sr., and Henry A. Ashton; daughter, Betty Glass; brother, Wesley Earl Temple; and sister, Alice Marie Cates.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
