Funeral services for Caroll Sue Yancy, 78, of Lufkin, will be held Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Reverend Frank Starr officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Mrs. Yancy was born December 14, 1933 in Nacogdoches, Texas to the late Emma Gene (Smith) and Morris D. Nabours. She died Saturday, July 7, 2012 in a Tyler hospital.
Mrs. Yancy was retired from the Business Office of Dr. Ronald Corley and had lived in Lufkin most of her life. She was also a homemaker and a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Yancy was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Yancy Lilley of Mont Belvieu, Connie and Lowell Green of Lufkin, and Carol and Mike Brevell of Huntington; five grandchildren and their spouses, Jennifer and Brian Collins of Lufkin, Kelly and Cory Johnson of Lufkin, Clark and Heather Lilley of Houston, Jake Brevell of Huntington, and Joel and Sheila Green of Appleby; four great grandchildren, Jordon Green, Isaiah Collins, Deaton Johnson and Parker Johnson; sisters and brother-in-law, Gloria Alders of Lufkin, Brenda and James Price of Nacogdoches; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Patsy Nabours, Buddy and Betty Nabours, Billy Mac Nabours, Larry and Tammy Nabours, and Bobby and Paula Nabours, all of Nacogdoches; and sister-in-law, Donna Hall of Houston. Mrs. Yancy is also survived by her precious ""weenie dog,"" Jake.
Mrs. Yancy was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Yancy, and brother-in-law, Charlie Alders.
Pallbearers will be Joel Green, Cory Johnson, Clark Lilley, Jake Brevell, David Tankersley and Brian Collins.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
