Funeral services for Ray Franklin Fenley, 84, of Lufkin, will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Harold Hancock officiating. Interment will follow in Gann Cemetery.
Mr. Fenley was born October 28, 1927 in Keltys, Angelina County, Texas to the late Jessie Franklin (Cobb) and Zack Phillip Fenley, Sr. He died Sunday, July 15, 2012 in a Lufkin nursing facility.
Mr. Fenley was a retired Wood Yard Superintendent for Champion Paper Mill following 30 years of service. He was a Charter Member of the local chapter of the Lufkin Good SAMS camping club. Mr. Fenley was a member of Timberland Drive Church of Christ, and had lived in Lufkin all his life. He served in country in the United States Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Virginia Lynn Fenley of Lufkin; son, Robert ""Bob"" Fenley of Pollok; daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Eddy Redd of Pollok; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Cari Roy, Cal and Karen Kaemmerling, Kelly and Christina Kaemmerling, Jason and Julie Fenley, Drew and Sue Fenley, Leah and Matt Adrian, James Redd and Angela Redd; and thirteen great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Cal Kaemmerling, Kelly Kaemmerling, Jason Fenley, Drew Fenley, James Redd and Nickolas Roy.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
