Graveside services for Jeff Nolan Wilson, 89, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, July 21, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. in the Russell Cemetery in Cherokee County with Dr. Andrew G. Pittman officiating.
Mr. Wilson was born January 5, 1923, in the Central Community, Angelina County, Texas to the late John Cyrus and Frances Priscilla (Sessions) Wilson, and died Wednesday, July 18, 2012, in a local hospital.
Mr. Wilson had resided in Lufkin most his life. He was an accountant at Lufkin Industries for 38 years. Mr. Wilson had been a member of the Knights of Pythias since age 21. He served as the Chancellor Commander of the Lufkin Lodge. Mr. Wilson was a member of Lufkin's First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Grace Wilson of Lufkin; daughter, Grace Ann Wilson of Lufkin; sons, Jeff Walton Wilson of Dallas and John Nolan Wilson of Pollok; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his sister, Fay Wilson Cansler; and brothers, John Elbert Wilson, George Edward Wilson and Charlie Glenn Wilson.
Pallbearers will be Alan Youngblood, John Roady, Greg Sanches, Rodney Lowery, Al Walton and Brandon Walters.
Honorary pallbearers will be Marvin Carr, Alan Martin, Randy Kirkland, Billy Sessions and Reverend Chester Robinson.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
