Ila Evelyn Karrh

Funeral services for Ila Evelyn Karrh, 93, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Kim Bartel officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mrs. Karrh was born June 30, 1919 in Bowie County, Texas to the late J.J. and Odessa (Pinkham) Lewis, and died Tuesday, July 31, 2012 in a local nursing home. She had resided in Lufkin since 1956 and was the retired owner of EBB's Beauty Shop. Mrs. Karrh loved to fish and enjoyed quilting. She was a member of the Herty Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Frankie Karrh of Lufkin and Billy and Mary Karrh of Santa Paula, California; grandchildren, Lauren Strock and husband Curt of Lufkin, Jeff Karrh of Ventura, Calilfornia and Susannah Oh and husband Jung of Simi Valley, California; great-grandchildren, Travis Strock of Lufkin, Annalee Groner, Daphne Oh and Lilly Oh, all of Simi Valley, California; sister, Gladys Peyton of Bossier City, Louisiana; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Karrh was preceded in death by her husband, Eual Karrh; brothers, Lawrence Lewis, Bill Lewis and Weldon Lewis; and sisters, Clara Hall, Estelle Shelton, Crystelle Lyles and Florence Carpenter.

Pallbearers will be Morgan Butler, Paul Luna, Travis Strock, Curt Strock, Bobby Ferguson and George Wright.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
