Mary Evelyn Holcombe

Funeral services for Mary Evelyn Holcombe, 71, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeff Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Bennett Cemetery in Trinity County.

Mrs. Holcombe was born December 26, 1940 in Angelina County, Texas to the late Steven ""Bud"" and Doylene (Standley) Warren, and died Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at her residence. She was a lifetime resident of Angelina County, and owner of Holcombe Appliance Service. Mrs. Holcombe was a member of the Southside Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Delton Edward Holcombe of Apple Springs, Ricky and Denise Holcombe of Jasper and Steve and Theresa Holcombe of Lufkin; daughter, Becky Radke of Lufkin; granddaughters, Bridget Smith and husband Jonathan of Diboll, Jessica Holcombe of Jasper, Sara Johnson and husband Bryan of Lufkin, Heather Holcombe of Jasper and Savannah Radke of Lufkin; grandsons, Brandall Porter, Jr. of Jasper, Daniel Holcombe, Caleb Holcombe and Coltone Radke, all of Lufkin; great-grandchildren, Sophia Johnson of Lufkin, Cole Smith of Diboll and Matt Johnson of Lufkin; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Holcombe was preceded in death by her husband and the father of her children, Delton Holcombe; second husband, Jesse Holcombe; and brother, Steve Warren.

Pallbearers will be Rory Hassell, Larry Schmidt, Rex Davis, Keith Johnson, Kent White and Dean White.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
