Robert Stephen Steve Hicks

Funeral services for Robert Stephen ""Steve"" Hicks, 60, of Lufkin will be held Monday, August 6, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Andrew G. Pittman officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mr. Hicks was born June 8, 1952 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Robert C. ""Bob"" and Katherine (Andrews) Hicks, and died Thursday, August 2, 2012 in a local hospital. He was a lifetime resident of Lufkin and retired from the Texas Forest Service following 41 years of service. Mr. Hicks was a member of Lufkin's First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Susan (Hicks) and Bill Spencer of Pollok; niece, Callie Letney of Lufkin; aunts, Ann Hicks of Dallas and Woodie Hicks of Lufkin; and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Hicks was preceded in death by his brother, Ray A. Hicks.

Pallbearers will be Ron Davis, Bill Stewart, Morty Halyard, Mark McCollum, Mike Wywias and Rick McDaniel.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
