Marie Willmon Richardson

Funeral services for Marie Willmon Richardson, 85, of Central will be held Monday, August 20, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at O'Quinn Baptist Church with Brother Steve Cowart, Bob Westbrook and Brother Keith Woolf officiating. Interment will follow in the Gann Cemetery with Brother M.L. ""Bud"" Magee officiating.

Mrs. Richardson was born October 30, 1926 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Norwood and Ora Lee (Martin) Willmon, and died Friday, August 17, 2012 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Richardson resided in the Central Community most of her life. During the years that her husband Rayburne was a coach and teacher at Central ISD, she was very actively involved in school and PTA activities. She loved her ""Joker"" playing bunch every Tuesday night for many years. Mrs. Richardson was a longtime active member of O'Quinn Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Dean and Gayle Richardson of Marshall, Clayton and Mindy Richardson of Central and M.J. and Shirley Clark of Jasper; grandchildren and their spouses, Kim Stanfield, Christi and Trey Grandgeorge, Candy and Rodney Willis, Caylan and Blake Ortiz, Cady Fuller and Casady Fuller; great-grandchildren, Shelby, Trey, Clayton, Hayley, Makayla, Makenlee, Aiden and Jude; one great-great-grandson; sister-in-law, Billie Willmon of Diboll; ten nieces and nephews; Longtime running buddy, Bobbie Seale of Central; and numerous other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Richardson was preceded in death by her husband, Rayburne Dean Richardson; brother, Pete Willmon; sisters, Dorothy Turner and Bobbie Basham; and two nieces.

Pallbearers will be Ned Thompson, J.C. Crawford, Bobby Allison, Jimmy Allison, Billy Patton, Gilbert Rice, Gene Shoemaker, J.E. Driskell, Kenny Modisette, Michael Westbrook, Doug Nichols and Marvin Cawood, Jr.

Memorial contributions may be made to O'Quinn Baptist Church, 7483 US Highway 69 N, Pollok, Texas 75969.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
