Herman Wallace

Funeral services for Herman Wallace, 66, of Pollok will be held Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother John Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Gann Cemetery.

Mr. Wallace was born August 4, 1946 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Martha Molene (Brown) and A.B. Wallace. He died Tuesday, August 28, 2012 in a Lufkin hospital.

Mr. Wallace had been employed with Walmart as a mechanic for 10 years. He was a lifelong resident of Lufkin and Angelina County.

Survivors include his children and their spouses, Paulette and Jeff Lewis of Winnie, Donna and Billy Rex Doss of Central, Jamie Wallace of Lufkin, Jennifer Doss of Lufkin, Addye and Robert Willett of Central, and Andye Wallace of Lufkin; 20 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ted and Carolyn Wallace, John Ed Wallace, all of Lufkin, and Michael and Kathy Wallace of Indiana; sister, Shirley Ann Free of Lufkin; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Mr. Wallace was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Janice ""Suzzie"" Williams Wallace; son, Matt Berry; and brother, Steve Wallace.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
