Funeral services for Alissa Kay Dyson, 50, of Huntington will be held Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Thomas Crossing United Pentecostal Church with Pastor Carlos Martinez officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Orange.
Mrs. Dyson was born February 1, 1962 in Beaumont, Texas to the late Terrell Terry and Creola (Hampton) Poole, and died Wednesday, September 5, 2012 in Kingwood. She had resided in Angelina County for 14 years.
Mrs. Dyson was a member of the Thomas Crossing United Pentecostal Church. Her church was her life and her Sunday school class and kids were her heart. She loved going on church trips with the kids. Mrs. Dyson's passion was photography, and she was also an avid and extremely creative decorator.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Dyson, Sr. of Huntington; son, Richard Dyson, Jr. of Carthage; daughter and son-in-law, Holly Kay and Jessie Miller of Lumberton; grandsons, Cameron Tearl and Cade Wallace Kittman; sisters and brothers-in-law, Bilbie and Harold Chesser of Hemphill, Virgie and Larry Lee of Vidor, Bobbie Jean Kendall and Jack Whalen of Troy, Missouri, Wanda Sue and Harold Gregory of New Castle, Indiana, Brenda Gale Shriner of Colmesneil and twin sister Olissa Faye Hawthorne of Vidor; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Carroway Funeral Home in Lufkin.
