Robert Lee Pillows

Funeral services for Robert Lee Pillows, 77, of Trinity County will be held Thursday, September 20, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin. Interment will follow in the Moore Cemetery in Trinity County.

Mr. Pillows was born October 19, 1934 in Centerville, Texas to the late Robert and Onie (Lee) Pillows, and died Tuesday, September 18, 2012 in a local nursing home. He resided in Trinity County most of his life. Mr. Pillows was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-law, Preston G. and Mary Mericle of Livingston and Glenn Pillows of Trinity; daughters, Billie Grace White of Trinity and Floye Hall and fiancé Alvin Thibodaux of Livingston; 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Walter Pillows, Billy and Wanda Pillows, Garth and Lela Pillows, Gleathen and Joann Pillows, and Glenn Aaron and Patsy Pillows; sisters, Lona Mae Fry, Nella Forrest, Glennis Holcombe, all of Trinity County, and Melba Joy White of Diboll; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Pillows was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Floye Pillows; son, Earl Ray Mericle; sisters, Winnie Fay, Dela and Lucille; and son-in-law, Jimmy White.

Pallbearers will be Judd Pillows, Shane Pillows, Darrell Forrest, Sherwood Forrest, Travis Forrest, Shadd White and Mike Pillows.

Honorary pallbearers will be Preston Mericle, Jr., Brad Hobbs and Andy Floyd.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
