Funeral services for Brant Keith Kelley, 31, of Bossier City, Louisiana will be held Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother John Withem officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitehouse Cemetery.
Brant was born July 23, 1981 in Lufkin, Texas, and died Thursday, October 11, 2012 at his residence. A Lufkin resident for most of his life, he had resided in Bossier City for three years. Brant was a 1999 graduate of Hudson High School and a member of Providence Baptist Church. He was a wonderful cook and loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. Brant was a sports fanatic and enjoyed watching UT, the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Astros.
Survivors include his wife, Rhiannon Miller of Bossier City, Louisiana; mother, Felicia Kelley of Hemphill; father, Kirk Kelley of Shreveport, Louisiana; brothers, Matthew Kelley and wife Christy of Lufkin, Chase Kelley and wife Summer of Castor, Louisiana and Will Kelley and fiancée Ashley Weaver of Hemphill; grandparents, J.W. and Wanda Baker of Lufkin and Eloise Kelley of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; uncles and aunts, Kenneth and Robbie Evans, Larry and Bobbie Thomas, all of Lufkin, Craig and Karen Greer of Dickson, Tennessee, Scott and Sabrina Horn, Kevin Kelley, all of Lufkin, and Ann and Jimmy Masters of Red Oak; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Holly and Vince Svehla of Nacogdoches; father-in-law, Taylor Miller, Jr. of Lufkin; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jarred and Carrie Baker of Nacogdoches, Taryn Miller of Grand Prairie, Rett Miller of Lufkin and Dellyn Reppond of Nacogdoches; special friends, Josh Hardin and Bobby Gabehart, both of Lufkin; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Bill Horn and Jesse Kelley; great-grandparents, William W. and Dorothy Horn and Edward and Etta Mae Simmons; and uncle, Dewey Simmons.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Kelley, Chase Kelley, Will Kelley, Josh Hardin, Rett Miller and Scott Horn.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jesse Hopper, Robert Ellis, Jeremy Jordan, Adam Smith, Jason Wesley, Bobby Gabehart, Justin Baugh, Cruz Padilla, Kenneth Evans, Jr., Jacob Jordan, Josh Mosley, Josh Bridges, Shaun Hebert, Robby Register and Curtis Loden.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
