Anthony Jay Bennefield

Funeral services for Anthony Jay Bennefield, 48, of Diboll will be held Friday, October 26, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Eastview United Pentecostal Church with Brother David Hunt and Brother Paul Mettlen officiating. Interment will follow in the Largent Cemetery.

Mr. Bennefield was born December 19, 1963 in San Augustine, Texas, and died Tuesday, October 23, 2012 in a local hospital. He was a lifetime resident of Angelina County. Mr. Bennefield loved to hunt and enjoyed outdoor activities. He was an excellent carpenter, and built his wife their home. He dearly loved his grandchildren with all his heart. Mr. Bennefield was a member of the Eastview United Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Donna Bennefield of Diboll; daughters, Diane Rodriguez and husband Christopher of Katy, Amanda Headley and husband Timothy, and Jennifer Pittman, all of Lufkin; son, AJ Bennefield and wife Allison of Lufkin; grandchildren, Ryan Rodriguez, Lillyana Rodriguez, both of Katy, Maci Jane Headley, Emma Headley, Alexis Bennefield, Jaxson Bennefield, all of Lufkin, and one on the way, Brianna Nicole Davlin; mother and stepfather, Claudene and Edward Burks of Lufkin; father, Marvin Ray Bennefield of San Augustine; sister, Sharon Waller and husband Gary of Lufkin; grandmother, Dora Lee Bennefield of San Augustine; nephew, Dakota Waller of Lufkin; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Raymond and Marjorie Seaman of Lufkin; grandmother-in-law, Odell Plummer of Lufkin; and numerous aunts, uncles and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Ethel Bennefield; and grandparents, A.J. Ford, Francis Ovater Ford and H.V. Bennefield.

Pallbearers will be Matt Todd, Wayne Price, Gary Wayne Seaman, Caleb Ellison, Spicer Ford, Jr. and Javier Rodriguez.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ryan Rodriguez, Jaxson Bennefield, Tim Headley, Christopher Rodriguez, Gary Waller, Dakota Waller and Michael Estes.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
