Susan E. Risinger

Memorial services for Susan E. Risinger, 60, of Lufkin, will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Ty Phillips and Dr. Doug Ashburn officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mrs. Risinger was born September 26, 1952 in Jefferson, Iowa to Phyllis and the late Tracy Massee. She died Friday, November 16, 2012 in a Lufkin hospice facility.

Mrs. Risinger was a retired Petty Officer First Class for the United States Navy, serving her country from 1974 to 1994. Most recently, she had been employed in the office of Southwood Veterinary Clinic in Lufkin. She was of the Baptist faith, and had resided in Lufkin since 1994.

Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Ed Risinger of Lufkin; son and his fiancée, Patrick Risinger and Tami Compton of Hudson; daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Charles Rambo of Inman, South Carolina; granddaughter, Nicole Rambo of Inman, South Carolina; mother, Phyllis Galbraith of Sioux Rapids, Iowa; sisters and brothers-in-law, Cindy and Jon Ringgenberg of Minnesota, Karen and Dwaine Campney of Chicago, Illinois, and Jane Massee and Kevin Williams of Wisconsin; mother-in-law, Verdean Risinger of Lufkin; as well as a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Risinger, Jason Risinger, Clint Risinger, Jacob Bennefield, Susan Ashburn, Gail Allen, Michael Clarady and Dr. Shawn Penn.
