Graveside services for Elizabeth ""Lib"" Maberry, 91, of Lufkin will be held Friday, November 23, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Walker Cemetery with Reverend Fred Smith officiating.

Mrs. Maberry was born September 4, 1921 in Diboll, Texas to the late Clyde Cesna and Myrl (Allday) Brown, and died Monday, November 19, 2012 in a local hospital, after a brief illness. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Mrs. Maberry graduated Valedictorian from Redland High School and was a member of the tennis team, winning several county championships. At one time she and her husband, Kester, were members of a horseback team that performed at rodeos called the Angelina County Mounted Quadrille, which later became known as the Angelina County Mounted Patrol.

Mrs. Maberry owned the Play Pen Daycare in Lufkin for 10 years and touched the lives of many children and their parents. Later she worked in the Brookhollow School cafeteria for a number of years. After finally retiring, she enjoyed her church friends at Redland Baptist Church. She was the oldest living member of Redland Baptist Church at the time of her death. She will be missed.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Kyeleen Maberry of Lufkin; grandchildren, Aaron Maberry, Clint and Michelle Briley, Shea and Carlton Fisher; great-grandchildren, Joeseph, Josh, Aspen, Chloe, Madison, Carley, Matthew, Luke, and Brett; special friend, Jo Nell Ashby; and a number of very special nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kester Maberry; daughters, Jamie Lou Maberry and Molly Jo Maberry; and lifelong friend, Pauline Haney.
