Steven Ray Register

Funeral services for Steven Ray ""Steve"" Register, 56, of Lufkin will be held Friday, November 23, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Gene Hazell officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitehouse Cemetery.

Mr. Register was born January 8, 1956 in Lufkin, Texas, and died Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at his residence. He was a lifetime resident of Lufkin.

Mr. Register was an avid team roper and hunter. He loved his horses. He loved his kids more than anything, and his newly-born grandchild. He was a welder for most of his life. He had a passion for helping younger people in whatever it may have been - softball, roping, welding, etc. He was an all-around awesome person who never met a stranger. He had a ""special"" hug for everyone.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Klint and Nicole Register of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Shanna and Clayton Reynolds of Moscow; granddaughter, Emmersyn Register of Lufkin; father and mother, Marlon and Jean Register of Lufkin; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jan and Mike Allbritton, Karon and Dennis Lenderman, all of Diboll and Sharon and Ronnie Collins of Cleveland; uncles and aunts, James and Sue White of Dayton, Joe and Katy White of Madison, Mississippi, Betty and Jerry Kinsel of Baytown, Melba Havard and Bonnie Harrell, both of Lufkin; mother of his children, Dianne Register of Lufkin; girlfriend, Belinda Greenville of Lufkin; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be Mike Wilson, Greg Doyle, Billy Mike Cornelius, Lance Redd, Jeff Williams and Ernie Brooks.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jody Pearson, Pete Werner, Chris Jones, Buster Sutton and R.D. McClendon.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
