Melissa Denise Dixon

Funeral services for Melissa Denise Dixon, 29, of Lufkin will be held Monday, November 26, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Andrew G. Pittman and Brother Jesse Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the Runnels Cemetery, near Broaddus.

Melissa was born January 15, 1983 in Lufkin, Texas, and died Monday, November 19, 2012 in a Houston hospital. She was a lifetime resident of Lufkin and a member of Lufkin's First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Mason of Lufkin; father and stepmother, Joe and Khristi Dixon of Broaddus; mother, Denise Dixon of Lufkin; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jennifer and Lacy Rasberry of Nacogdoches, Anjanette and Don Jackson of Johnson City, and Amanda Drago of Nederland; stepsisters and brothers-in-law, Dorcas and Brandon Rupert of Sweeny and Jenifer and Adam Williamson of Huntington; stepbrothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Candice Williams of Lufkin and Aaron and Laura Williams of Dallas; grandparents, Wilma Rose Parrott of Lufkin and Grover W. and Terruyo Parrott of San Antonio; Mason's special friend, Jamie Dominy of Pennington; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Lacy Rasberry, Brandon Rupert, Joe Williams, Aaron Williams, Don Jackson and Jesse Dominy.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Melissa Dixon Memorial Fund at any Capital One Bank branch.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Monday morning prior to the services.
