Walter Kirk Forrest

Funeral services for Walter Kirk Forrest, 55, of Lufkin will be held Sunday, November 25, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Monica Massey and Pastor Russell Tullos officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mr. Forrest was born August 15, 1957 in Galveston, Texas to Arthur and Nellev (Pillows) Forrest, and died Tuesday, November 20, 2012 in an Arkansas hospital. He was a Customer Service Manager and worked in the accounting department for Walmart.

Survivors include his wife, Terrie Ray Forrest of Lufkin; son, the light of Walter's life, Jose ""Frankie"" Zavala of Lufkin; daughters, Carrie Welton of Iraan and Elizabeth Rivera of Bossier City, Louisiana; sons, Gary Forrest of South Lake and Christopher Henderson of New Mexico; 19 grandchildren; mother, Nellev Forrest of Apple Springs; sisters, Sheila Arledge of Centerville, Jacqueline Hodge of Onalaska and Felicia Jernigan of Lufkin; brothers, Travis Forrest, Sherwood Forrest, both of Centerville, and Darrell Forrest of Apple Springs; sisters-in-law, Katrinka Lindsey of Ashdown, Arkansas, Jerrie Aguilar of Lufkin and Melva Jones of Huntington; brothers-in-law, Frank Hill of San Augustine, Matthew Hill of Midland and Daniel Hill of Kennard; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives, including his Walmart family in Crockett, Marshall and Ashdown.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Forrest; and great-grandson, Julian Ramon Aguilar.

Pallbearers will be Trevor Jernigan, Allen Forrest, Justin Forrest, Weston Forrest, Jose Torres, Jimmy Aguilar, Burl Jones and Danny Jones.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
