Jean Ford Skinner

Funeral services for Jean Ford Skinner, 79, of Lufkin will be held Monday, November 26, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Bob Owen and Kris Lawrence officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mrs. Skinner was born November 11, 1933 in Trinity County, Texas to the late Edgar C. and Ima (Kee) Deaton, and died Thursday, November 22, 2012 in a Houston hospital.

Mrs. Skinner graduated from Groveton High School and attended the Durham Business College. She worked in the Trust Department at First Bank & Trust East Texas for 15 years. Mrs. Skinner was a member of the Dunn Chapel Church of Christ.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and George Griffith of Cypress and Micki and Larry Kroeker of Dobbin; grandsons and their spouses, Sean and Courtney Lawrence, Kris and Holly Lawrence, all of Decatur, Alabama, Josh and Jennifer Kroeker of Lufkin and Jake and Nicole Kroeker of Conroe; great-grandchildren, Tori Wiede of Katy, Kendal Lawrence, Kort Lawrence, Tatum Lawrence, all of Decatur, Alabama, Isaac Kroeker of The Woodlands, Abigail Kroeker, Jack Raymond Kroeker, both of Lufkin, Wesley Kroeker and Daniel Kroeker, both of Conroe; brother and sister-in-law, E.C. and Jackie Deaton of Arlington; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Charlie Dale and Joyce Skinner of Lufkin, Jesse and Helen Skinner of Spring and Crosby and Gladys Skinner of Conroe; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Barbara and Billy Lewing and Shirley and Don Baum, all of Lufkin; special friends, Myrt McCalman of Kingwood and Clydene Miles of Lufkin; special caregivers, Linda Archer of Crecy, Faye Read of Willis and Tammy Head of Lufkin; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, J.L. Ford, Jr. and Ray Skinner; grandson, Taylor Lawrence; and brothers, Opal Deaton and Earline Deaton.

Pallbearers will be Sean Lawrence, Kris Lawrence, Josh Kroeker, Jake Kroeker, J.L. Connarroe and Letney Head.

Honorary pallbearers will be Lynn Read, Randall Archer, Larry Kroeker, Billy Lewing and Charlie Dale Skinner.
