A Home Going Memorial for Lonnie T. Brevelle, Jr., 82, of Lufkin will be held Friday, November 30, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at Redland Baptist Church with Pastor Fred Smith officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.
Mr. Brevelle was born September 18, 1930 in Redland, Texas, and went home to be with our Lord Thursday, November 15, 2012, at Stoneleigh Estates Nursing Home.
Mr. Brevelle graduated from Redland High School in 1948. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict from 1952 until 1954 as a Private 1st Class and was awarded several medals. He moved to Houston where he retired from Remington Rand after 19 years. He then moved back to Lufkin where he stayed until his death. He was a member of Redland Baptist Church.
Survivors include his sister, Billie Jean Schuster, wife of Robert G. Schuster of Houston; nieces, Mary J. Killingsworth of Tyler, Terri J. Smith of Palestine and Lisa Holyfield of Fairbanks, Alaska; nephew, William R. ""Bill"" Schuster of Houston; and numerous cousins, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Mr. Brevelle is preceded in death by his parents, Lula M. (Lankford) Brevelle and Lonnie T. Brevelle, Sr.
