Funeral services for Sue Shelton, 78, of Lufkin, will be held Sunday, December 2, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Reverend Cindy Doran and Reverend Jacqueline Harmon officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitehouse Cemetery.

Mrs. Shelton was born January 21, 1934 in Keltys, Angelina County, Texas to the late Mary (Freeman) and Jesse Hamilton Price. She died Thursday, November 29, 2012 at her residence.

Mrs. Shelton was retired from K-Mart where she worked as the Lay-Away Manager. She loved her church, Keltys United Methodist Church, and was a very active member, always willing to do whatever needed for its betterment. Mrs. Shelton had lived in Lufkin all her life.

Survivors include her son, Edward Shelton of Houston; grandson, Benjamin Shelton of Arlington; sister, Betty Smith of Houston; daughter-in-law, Celeste Sharp Shelton of Austin; nephew, Terry Renfro of Lufkin; as well as numerous other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Shelton.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Keltys United Methodist Church, 1867 Old Mill Road, Lufkin, Texas 75904.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home in Lufkin.
