Irene Marshall Taylor

Funeral services for Irene ""Gran"" Marshall Taylor, 74, of Huntington will be held Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Reverend Mark Livingston officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mrs. Taylor was born November 12, 1938 in Jasper, Texas to the late Arzalla ""Cooney"" (Miller) and Lloyd Wayne Marshall. She died peacefully on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at her residence.

Mrs. Taylor was a homemaker and a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was known by many as ""Gran"" and was happiest when she was rocking and taking care of children, ""her babies"", at Gran School. She was of the Baptist faith, and lived in the Lufkin area since 1962.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Ben and Jennifer Ogden of Lufkin, Mona and Wayne Waggonner of Lufkin, Darlene and H.L. Trawick of Conroe, Roger and Donna Taylor of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Kimmie and Todd Hagewood of Houston; grandchildren, Brad, Brittany and Colton Ogden, Anna Dean, Meredyth Byrd, Caleb and Katy Waggonner, Jon David Copeland, Sarah and Austin Taylor, and Colin and Heather Hagewood; great-grandchildren, Jonah and Rylan Ogden, and Jackson Taylor; sisters, Wanda Fields of Port Barre, Louisiana, Ruby Lois Kirkpatrick of Willis; special friends, Shanda Bentley and Becky Butler; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, neighbors and friends.

Preceding Mrs. Taylor in death were her parents and her husband, Jack Taylor.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ben Ogden, Walter Price, Wayne Waggonner, James Butler, Bobby Byrd, Gary Dean, H.B. Ogden and Roger Taylor.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. Service immediately following at 2:00 p.m.
