Harold David Byron

Memorial services for Harold David Byron, 75, of Corrigan will be held Friday, December 21, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Elton Musick and Brother Lesly Wilkinson officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mr. Byron was born September 20, 1937 in the Wakefield Community, Polk County, Texas to the late Bennie and Opal (Perkins) Byron, and died Tuesday, December 18, 2012 in a local hospital. He was a lifetime resident of the Wakefield Community. Mr. Byron was in the logging business. He loved hunting and fishing. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, LaNiece Byron of Wakefield; daughters, Elaine Donaldson and fiancé Kyle Pinkerton of Huntington, Linda Carol and husband Jimmy Robuck of Wakefield and Laura Lea Byron and fiancé Donald Joe Nobles of Corrigan; grandchildren and their spouses, Lydia Donaldson, Zechariah and Megan Donaldson, Justin and Sandra Helton, Alaina Helton, Hayley Byron, Mikeal Ballard, Anthony McMullen and Emily Byron; great-grandchildren, Byron Helton, Justice Helton, Blake Helton, Lily Helton, Tinsley Ferguson, Mikeal Ballard, Jr., Nana Ballard and Bailey McMullen; brother and sister-in-law, Bennie Lee and Belinda Byron of Chester; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Bubba Byron; granddaughter, Ashton Glover; great-grandson, Justin D. Helton, Jr.; and son-in-law, Patrick Donaldson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Brock, Charles Chandler, Kyle Chandler, Lynn Hubbard, Kyle Sterling, Tanner Handley, Bo Smith, Luke Dorman, Kevin Dorman, Donald Joe Nobles, Curtis Harper, Richard Carlton, Kevin Wallace, Billy Carlton, David Carrico, Royce Carrico, Mickey Carrico, Jimmy Wright and Chad Wright.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 212 Gene Samford Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75904 or Hospice in the Pines, 1504 W. Frank Avenue, Lufkin, Texas 75904.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Friday morning prior to the services.
