Mary Lee Love Melton

Funeral services for Mary Lee Love Melton, 94, of Lufkin will be held Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Aubrey Knox officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mrs. Melton was born February 12, 1918 in Lufkin, Texas to the late William Cicero and Oma Cary (Morehead) Love, and died Sunday, December 23, 2012 in a local nursing home. She was a lifetime resident of Lufkin and a member of Lufkin's First Baptist Church, where she taught primary Sunday school.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Louise Abney and husband Paul of Lufkin; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Michelle and Roger Hanks of Anna; great-granddaughters, Madison Hanks and Kenley Hanks; and nephews, Audie Love and wife Linda of Santa Barbara and Bobby Love and wife Linda of Beaumont.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Daniel Webster Melton; son, Danny Melton; grandson, Little Dan Melton; and brother, Audie Love.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday morning prior to the services.
