Karen N. Lamb Oliver

Funeral services for Karen N. Lamb Oliver, 58, of Lufkin, will be held Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Reverend David Goodwin officiating. Interment will follow in the Pollok Cemetery.

Mrs. Oliver was born March 8, 1954 in Nacogdoches, Texas to the late Fleta (Sheffield) and Leonard Lamb. She died Sunday, December 30, 2012 in a Lufkin hospital.

Mrs. Oliver was retired from the Texas Department of Transportation. She was also a homemaker and a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She loved to read and to travel, and especially loved New Mexico. Mrs. Oliver loved ""her babies,"" her dogs. She was a member of Falvey Memorial United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Gary Oliver of Lufkin; daughters, Leigh Ann Oliver of Pollok and Jenn Polk of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Erik and Rhonda Oliver of Lufkin; sisters and brother-in-law, Lee and Billy Gilstrap of Lufkin, Margaret Lamb Agpalza of Pollok; brother and sister-in-law, Leonard H. and Lynn Lamb of Pollok; grandchildren, David Austin Thompson and Bella Rose Oliver; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Mrs. Oliver was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Paul Lamb; and family friend, Marie Richardson.

Pallbearers will be Clay Gilstrap, Lance Lamb, Keaton Crisp, Brandon Oliver, Kyle Oliver, Hunter McCaa, Hunter Justus and David Modisette.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Falvey Memorial United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 40, Wells, Texas 75976 or to the Fuller Springs Baptist Church, 5003 Fuller Springs Dr., Lufkin, Texas 75901.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Lufkin.
