Graveside services for Eva Ruth Williams, 94, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. in the Salem Cemetery in Rusk with Reverend Jerry Garner officiating.
Mrs. Williams was born December 11, 1918 in Rusk, Texas to James Leber and Zula Mae (Black) Beall, and died Thursday, January 3, 2013 at her residence in the PineCrest Retirement Community. A former resident of Houston, she had resided in Lufkin for 17 years. Mrs. Williams received a Bachelor's Degree from Baylor University. She worked as a Dean's Assistant at the University of Texas Dental School. Mrs. Williams was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Mary Katherine Burch and the late Reverend Robert C. Burch of Knoxville, Tennessee, Tommie L. and Dr. Rollo Nesset of Kildeer, Illinois, Bobbie and Earnest Allen of Dallas, Dr. B.J. and Laura Garner of Houston, James and Delois Garner, Reverend Jerry and Andrea Garner, all of Denton, Dr. John V. and Debbie Garner of Crockett, Dr. Leber and Nancy Beall of Irving, and Nina Ruth Beall of Austin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carey R. Williams; sisters, Katherine Beall Petty and Virginia Beall Garner; and brother, J.L. Beall.
Pallbearers will be her nephews.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
