Julie Long Dickinson

Funeral services for Julie Long Dickinson, 66, of Lufkin will be held Friday, January 18, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Donnie Grigg officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mrs. Dickinson was born June 15, 1946 in Roswell, New Mexico to George Johnson and Lucille (Barfield) Johnson, and died Sunday, January 13, 2013 in a local hospital. She was a Licensed Vocational Nurse and retired from Memorial Health Systems of East Texas.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Danny Mack Dickinson of Lufkin; sons and daughters-in-law, Max and Katie Dickinson of Lufkin and Kelly and Megan Dickinson of Zavalla; grandchildren, Caleb Brandon Dickinson (with baby Cole Dickinson due in May) of Lufkin, Jackson Zane Dickinson, Brooks Bryan Dickinson, Kaden Eastwood and Makaela Eastwood, all of Zavalla; brother and sister-in-law, Nicky and Darla Johnson of Moffett; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Dickinson, Brian Hollers, Joe Morales, Landon McNeese, Ron Dempsey and Bart Carr.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
