Lyndia Holcomb Taylor

Visitation for Lyndia ""Lyn"" Holcomb Taylor, 70, of Lufkin, will be held Monday, January 28, 2013 from 12 Noon until 2:00 p.m. at Carroway Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Lyn was born February 6, 1942 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Marshall Holcomb and Beatrice (Short) Holcomb, and passed away Friday, January 25, 2013 in a Victoria, Texas hospital.
Lyn was a retired realtor and a wonderful cook. She spent her time telling her silly jokes and loving her three granddaughters.

Survivors include her daughter, Brooke Siebenthall Quick and son-in-law, Skylar Quick of Yoakum; granddaughters, Jaylyn Jones, Brailey Loeffler and Autumn Loeffler; niece, Daphnie Donahoe Benton, her husband Mark Benton, and their children Sarah and Evelyn Benton; niece, Deborah Donahoe Gentz, her husband David Gentz, their children Jared and Heather Segrest, and Heather's son Adrian Sabani; nephew, Chuck Donahoe and his wife JoAnn Almanza Donahoe; aunt, Dorothy Short; cousins, Rhonda, Sandra, Louie and J'nelle Short and Walton Carrington; lifelong friend, Jane Brabham Caraway; and several extended family members whom she loved so much.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Ryan Michelle Lawrence, and sister, Mini Evelyn Donahoe.
