Graveside services for Ruby E. Adkison, 92, of Lufkin will be held Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park with Brother Mike Galloway and Brother Jimmy Runnels officiating.
Mrs. Adkison was born July 13, 1920 in Badger, Minnesota to the late Peter and Martha (Deters) Waksvik, and died Tuesday, January 29, 2013 in a local hospital. She resided in Lufkin most of her life. Mr. and Mrs. Adkison owned and managed Beams Motel & Café for 26 years, and later Commercial Storage and Warehouse.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Sheila and Robert Wood of Lufkin and Linda and Dane Isenmann of Las Vegas, Nevada; grandchildren and spouses, Wes Wood of Lufkin, Wendy and Casey Moore of Dallas, Clark and Deana Wood of Conroe and Eric and Leea Greenville of Dripping Springs; and great-grandchildren, Aidan Wood, Anna Moore, Kyle Moore, Walker Wood, Everly Wood, Maggie Greenville, Brooke Greenville and Jack Greenville.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester W. Adkison.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Carroway Funeral Home.
