Graveside services for David Henry Denman, 67, of Lufkin will be held Friday, April 22, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Rocky Springs/Old Center Cemetery with Pastor David Craig and Sidney Gholson officiating.
Mr. Denman was born May 23, 1943 in Angelina County, Texas, the son of the late Lillie (Wooten) and Jim Denman. He passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2011 in a local nursing home.
Mr. Denman was a mechanic by trade. He worked for International Harvester for 20 years. In 1976, Mr. Denman opened Denman?s Garage. The business closed in 2003.
Mr. Denman was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Lufkin where he attended for many years. He was a saved Christian and was strong in his faith. Mr. Denman liked to occupy his spare time by woodworking, deer hunting and gardening. He loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Myrna Denman of Lufkin; daughters and son-in-law, Selina Denman and Melissa and Chadwick Speight, all of Lufkin; brother, Walter Denman of Lufkin; sisters, Mary Duke and Norma Youngblood, both of Lufkin; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Denman was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lillie Wiggins; and brothers, Arthur Denman, T.C. Sharp and Junior Sharp.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the nurses and staff at Southland Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
Following the service, the family will be gathering at The First Church of the Nazarene.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
