Florence Lazenby Putfark

Florence ""Genie"" Lazenby Putfark, 84, of Huntington died Sunday, April 4, 2010 in a local hospital. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held in Lumberton, Mississippi at a later date.
Mrs. Putfark was born May 30, 1925 in Pearl River County, MIssissippi to the late Linder Belle (Cobb) and Thomas Woodson Lazenby. A former resident of New Orleans, Louisiana, she had resided in Huntington for 10 years. Mrs. Putfark was a manicurist in New Orleans for 45 years. She enjoyed sewing doll clothes and gardening. Mrs. Putfark was a member of the Huntington First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her brothers and sisters-in-law, Harry and Farris Lazenby of Lumberton, Mississippi, Earl Lazenby of Houston and C.C. ""Neal"" and Myrna Lazenby of Purvis, Mississippi; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Terral Cooley of Houston and Ruth and John Whitten of Huntington; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Putfark was preceded in death by her brother, Wilson Lazenby; and sisters, Mattie Lee and Annie Lee.
