Clay Douglas Peterson

Funeral services for Clay Douglas Peterson, 31, of Lufkin will be held Friday, December 24, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Bob Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Fielder Cemetery.

Mr. Peterson was born September 5, 1979 in DeRidder, Louisiana to Sue (Jordan) and Leroy A. Peterson, and died Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at his residence.

Mr. Peterson resided in Lufkin and Nacogdoches most of his life. He was a 1998 graduate of Hudson High School and received his Bachelors Degree in Business and Masters Degree in Accounting from Stephen F. Austin State University. Mr. Peterson was an auditor for Alexander, Langford and Hiers.

Survivors include his father, Leroy Peterson of Lufkin; mother and stepfather, Sue and Allen Barringer of Lufkin; sister, Kristy Peterson Harvey and fiance Aaron Thompson of Nacogdoches; brother, Martin Peterson of Lufkin; nephews, Jesse Courtney, Jr. and Riley Thompson, both of Nacogdoches; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and a great wealth of friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Claburn and Mary Peterson and Avery and Betty Jordan; and nephew, Michael Bruce Courtney.

Pallbearers will be Martin Peterson, Jerrel Ray Jordan, Aaron Thompson, Ira Shiflet, Robert ""Lucky"" Marye and Peyton Paulette.

Honorary pallbearer will be John Avery Jordan.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
